Brook Crompton is a leading manufacturer of electric motors for the global industrial market. Colonel Crompton, a pioneer in the development of d.c. motors, formed R.E.B. Crompton & Co in 1878 and Ernest Brook made his first a.c. motor in Huddersfield, UK in 1904 forming Brook Motors. The two organisations came together in the late 1960s and the company that is now BROOK CROMPTON has come a long way since then.
Brook Crompton is made up of many well known names including Brook Motors, Crompton Parkinson, Newman Electric, GEC Electrodrives, Bull Electric, Brook Hansen, Western Electric (WE Motors) and Hawker Siddeley Electric Motors.
Our products are used in every industrial activity including mining, water treatment, processing and manufacturing where they drive fans, pumps, compressors and conveyors.Our current product range includes standard AC Motors (NEMA and IEC Metric in stock), custom engineered Motors and DC Motors via special order. As the authorized sales representative for ATB in the Americas, Brook Crompton Americas has access to additional European standard motor lines to compliment our own product offering.
